How To Serve In Our Children's "All Star Ministry"
Our leader philosophy is simple: Build Great Teams! Serving is more productive and fun when great teams are in place. In every area, we want to utilize the strengths and spiritual giftedness of each leader. We want your experience in All Stars to be rewarding, excellent, effective, and enthusiastic. Feel free to check out the different ways you can serve with the All Star Team. Please contact us if you have any questions or you feel Christ has inspired you to serve in the Children’s Ministry.
Coaches: These leaders are the back-bone of our Children’s Ministry. These coaches teach every week in the same room, this is to make sure there is continuity to our ministries and allows the coaches to connect with the children they work with.
We believe that our coaches are called by Christ to teach and lead our children to the next level of discipleship. The Bible says, “The things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.” (2 Timothy 2:2, NIV) Paul taught Timothy. Timothy taught others, who in turn taught others.
All coaches are given a Teacher Guideline Form. Our church fully supports these basic qualifications. They are discussed with potential teachers and used to evaluate active teachers on an annual basis to make sure our teachers are living up to their expectations.
We also have a strong screening policy. We do both finger printing and background checks to make sure that our workers are qualified and responsible enough to work with children. We are very serious about communicating safety and responsibility. We are serious about taking care of our children!
Other All Star Serving Opportunities
There are many other ways to serve in the Children’s Ministry. If you are not sure where to get plugged in, take a moment to consider your likes, interests, and abilities. Maybe one of these areas will appeal to you:
Craft Team This team supplies age appropriate and lesson appropriate crafts for children 1st – 6th grades. If you are creative, or simply have time to cut, glue, and measure or draw at home, we would love to have you on our craft team.
Hospitality Find small ways to thank our ministry coaches i.e. notes, snacks, crafts, etc.
Large Event Coordinator Organize leadership conferences, Christmas parties, and publicity for all major events.
Small Event Coordinator Organize leadership meeting refreshments, game day activities, and outings.
