Advanced Bible Classes
We offer these courses to allow members and guests to grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus.  We desire to have deeper Bible Study that challenges and stretches each individual.   These classes meet on Sunday Evenings at 6:00 pm.  Our next classes begin on February 11 and last for 6 weeks.

PRESCHOOL:  Mission Friends is our older Preschool class that leads children to begin to learn how to live like Jesus.  Led by Dinorah Miller and meets in MAC 2.  Nursery care is in MAC 1.

CHILDREN:  Science Sense is designed to encourage Christian students in grades K-6 to stand strong in their faith in God as they explore their world through science.  We teach our children how a Christian worldview helps them make a meaningful connection between what they read in the Bible and what they experience, particularly in the created world.  This class will help students make sense of their Christian faith and science.  Science Sense will meet in MAC 3 and will be led by Shane and Jody Sweeten.

YOUTH:  The Black Letters of Jesus.  Many studies focus on Jesus’ words – the red letters of Scripture.  This study focuses on His actions, the black letters.  The study is based on the things Jesus did while he was here on Earth.  These are lessons drawn from the life of the one who became flesh and lived among His creation.  The youth meet in building B.

ADULTS:  Three Options:

Lessons from The Twelve is an in-depth study of each of the 12 disciples, using the New Testament as our primary textbook.  What do we know about them?  What were they like?  What happened to them?  Why did Jesus choose them?  The study will focus on the differing personalities, talents, and abilities of these men who learned from Jesus, lived with Jesus, worked with Jesusand then changed the world after His resurrection.  Some of them—like Peter and Johnare well known.  On others, we have very limited knowledge.  Taken together, they are one of the most fascinating group of men in history.  The class will meet in building D and will be taught by Pastor Jack.

Biblical Finances:  Most people don’t plan to fail, but many people fail to plan.  This class will concentrate on how to honor God with the money you receive from your paycheck, retirement, etc. We will cover such basics as how to set up and KEEP a budget, how to plan for emergencies, how to give yourself a 20% to 25% raise, how to shop for loans, and how to plan for your future. This class is not just about numbers.  It will give you the tools you need to help make yourselves financially stable. Computer skills are not required, but I will share several different financial calculators that you can take home and insert different numbers to see different scenarios and outcomes. Harvey and Gail Quackenbush will co-teach this class on Sunday evenings in building A.

Women will study Priscilla Shirer’s Discerning the Voice of God.  This revised and expanded study will challenge you in your walk with Him.  This edition reflects new stories, illustrations, and exercises.  Discover the root of clear communication with God—humble obedience. Learn how surrender unlocks His many blessings intended for us and helps us discern His voice in everyday life.  Led by Mary Kaye Wonner,  meets in building C.  Note: This class is also offered on Tuesday mornings beginning Feb 13, at 10:00 am.

Life Groups

Life Groups meet in homes or during the week.  One of our three commitments for growth is Live Jesus in a small group.  In a community of believers, we learn the Bible, make friends, and encourage each other to live out our faith.  These Life Groups offer additional options to our Sunday Bible Studies.
